香港大學委任蘇德毅先生為新任圖書館館長

香港大學（港大）欣然公佈，港大校務委員會已通過，任命原港大圖書館副館長蘇德毅先生，接任退休的彭仁賢博士出任圖書館館長。蘇德毅先生已經於2011年1月1日履新。

蘇德毅先生於2001年12月起出任圖書館副館長。他擁有管理學術圖書館的豐富經驗及專業知識，精通高等院校資訊系統管理及運作，熱誠投入及推動大學的教與學，科研及知識共享文化，在管理與人際關係上，表現出色。 

新館長的人選，是由港大校長徐立之教授主持的遴選委員會，經全球招聘後向校務委員會推薦。徐教授對蘇德毅先生獲委任新職，表示欣慰，他又感謝卸任的彭仁賢博士多年來的努力，令港大圖書館系統茁壯發展。他深信在蘇德毅先生的領導下，港大圖書館將繼續為港大的師生與大家庭成員，提供優質專業的服務。

徐教授說：｢未來，港大圖書館將積極貫徹大學的策略發展方向，在建設新校園研習坊,提升大學的學習資訊平台等多方面,提供高效的支援。｣

Professor Tsui added that he believed that under the leadership of Mr Sidorko, HKU Libraries would continue to provide the best service to all members of the University community.

"The University Libraries will be able to play an active and important role in supporting the University's strategic directions, e-learning, e-scholarship and the future operation of the Learning Commons," Professor Tsui said.
